Wolfmother

I decided to do a switchout from all my music on my iPod recently, and took all the rap, with some exceptions, off. In it's place I put some albums I haven't listened to for a while, and Wolfmother was one of them. Ever since then I haven't been able to turn it off for more than a spare listening of something else. If you have never listened to this, I highly recommend you welcoming this into your life and change it.

Went to Criminal Records in Lil 5 Points after finding out I can't get a wireless router, so I decided to buy some things to make me feel better.

Cartoon Network Got Smart

And decided to run a marathon of Looney Toons on the first day of 09. Who's with me and thinks that this is the best idea Cartoon Network ever had in recent....years maybe. I say this because other than Chowder, most of the new shows they have are complete booty. If you looking for me on New Year's Day, there is a high possibility of me being in my bed eating Just Bunches, and watching animals almost kill each other. Can you say best day ever?

My Hometown

I'm sitting in the airport, and I been thinking about the city where I was raised since birth till I was 14, New Orleans. When people first hear the words New Orleans(or pronounced by locals Nawlins) most people tend to think Mardi Gras, Lil Wayne, sexy accents, good food, and most recently Katrina, and when they think of Katrina they ask, "How is it down there.", and the usual answer is, "Uhhhh... it's fine." If you hear the truth that it is truthfully a messed up place, and think that it became this way after the hurricane then you are highly mistaken.

New Orleans has always been a terrible place. Six shootings a night, one of the highest amount of crooked cops and politicians in United States, and now my neighborhood looks like a damn third world country. I didn't even wanna go visit my childhood home this time around. Sure there is some type of rebuilding taking place, but gentrification can't change the attitude of the youth out here. Everyone knows there is a chance of a shooting going down at a party, skate rink, movie theatre, block party, church, french quarter, Mardi Gras parade, etc etc, but that is accepted here. You know why it is accepted here, because it will never change. You may say there are other cities like this in the US, but New Orleans is a tiny ass city.

When I was younger I didn't even know Meteari was a different city separated from the N.O, and there is no such thing as a suburb here. My little cousin use to think my house was in a suburb, but I just lived in a 3 block radius of good. Go back towards the train tracks, and things start getting bad. If you are reading this and wondering what I am getting at with this semi long post, I am saying if you ever visit New Orleans, stay safe and get out quick. I love my city, but I am damn glad I don't live here no more. Went out two nights while I was here, one almost to the movies(had a fight there), and the other almost to the skate rink(me and my friend passed by there after going to the movies and it was surrounded by cops). Just a little example.

Dinner and before

Went out to dinner at Brewhouse with some of the family the last night I had in New Orleans. Then decided to go overboard and walk down the street to Cafe du Monde, and get some beignets. I think I am still recovering from that.

Went back to the grandparent's house for Christmas, and had a real good time just relaxing and taking it easy. I'll just keep it to the pictures today, because I'm just lazy.

MERRY CHIRSTMAS!

Been a good last couple of days, came to New Orleans, seen all the family, ate good food, waiting to eat more good food. Get more presents, get more money, and of course eat food.

Chilled by the cousin's house for a while after I dropped my stuff at my dad's. They are still the same cool people, even though the little girl is becoming a little bit of a brat. They still have the coolest house in the family.

Julian didn't wake up till like 4 something or near that time.

Then swung by the grandparent's house, and had the best cookies in the world, and got told that I can't get gauges or a tattoo till I graduate and get a good job. Ain't that messed up.

Later that night went out with Miles to Snug Harbor to watch some of his friends play, and he even got on for one last song. 

He said he did bad, but I say the drum kit was too small for him.

If you never had a beignet then you are not truly living.

I think dad got the best gift for himself. New Audi.
