What the **** is a Jay Electronica?

First time I had seen this album on wedoitright, I dismissed it for reasons long forgotten. This compilation of works from the New Orleans native shines through as something surprisingly new. So surprising in fact that individuals would not expect Jay to have origins in the South, but this does not matter, more so a random fact that can be used as evidence that rappers below the dixie line still have more to offer. Similar to most great emcees, Mr. Electronica surpasses the subject matter of his upbringing there by offering listeners the opportunity to see that there is more to a person than where they were born. Add this with fantastic beats, and even rhymes being delivered over nothing more than movie scores, and you have in your possession a great set of work from one of the most aspiring artists I have witnessed. Evidence is within the highlight of Eternal Sunshine by its self, there by creating this mixtape into a bonus all together.

And for anyone in the Atlanta area on the 14th, Jay will be performing as well as Mos Def. Something I will not be missing out on.
