Alife Fall/Winter 2008

Alife is starting to ship out it's new line of footwear. They continue to debut new models season after season, and this season they release the Chuck, based off of a Chukka boot, and the Court Cup, based off of Stan Smiths. Their best shoe still remains to be the Everybody. Classic dunk upper, with a classic vulcanized sole makes a classic shoe. Add in Alife's creativity. Gotta love it.

Favorite Brand Watch

Found some pretty interesting stuff these past couple of days. All with one thing in common too, they all in some way relate to my love of clothes and the culture behind them. Culture meaning inspiration behind the collections and also the people.

1st

King Stampede has a new website up with a blog and my personal favorite thing ever, Stampede Radio. Some really cool tunes on there. Definitely check it out when you get the chance.

2nd

Rockersnyc is putting out a new collection called, "Loud is Silent". Each piece in the cut and sew collection features, silent luxury quality and loud, colorful prints. In my opinion Rockers are really a step ahead of most other brands with quality. Really wish I could get my hands on that leather jacket. The Collection will be shipping this September(means save that money).

Digital Gravel just released a tour around the Mishka offices. Really cool visuals and really high rating of geekness. 

Octagon Quilted High Dunk

These new Nike Dunks caught my eye since they are a lot more simple compared to previous designs I've seen from Nike(mostly SB). The killer whale of sneaker companies(at least stateside) has switched up their usual design qualities for a monochrome style in red, blue, and black. Different materials have also been added to the upper of the shoe making it even better. My personal equation for good sneakers at the moment is a primary color or black and white for the main color or only color, one or two other colors in the shoe, and nice material. Still have to see these in person if I am lucky enough to get these in a store near me. I'll keep ya posted on that though.

Last Few Days

Last few days been kinda busy, but no worries there. I rather like busy over my usual day to day laying around. I'm like one of those people that are happy working, but I digress. 

Started out Wednesday when Malaika and Jordan came over and chilled and then went to the mall. Didn't take any pictures at the mall. Too lazy to take my camera everywhere. I will start doing it though so ya'll can see my whole life(and I also remember it).

Thursday just chilled at home. Decided that I was gonna take one of my favorite shirts and tape it to my wall when I move into my dorm room at GA State.  Creepy motherfucker is gonna scare a bunch of people. The lil nephew also became two weeks old. Dude got so much personality it is crazy.

I think this was Friday, but idk. Memory isn't what it use to be(I use to remember a lot less). Made a double decker egg, cheese, and meat sandwich. Very tasty and filling. And then watched some toypunks while the cable was out. Matter a fact I think this was thursday too. Whatever it's on here.

Ok I know this was Friday. It was three of my friends 18th birtdays, so everybody went out to Dave and Busters, and spent a bunch of money on arcades. I spent all of mine(that I was gonna spend that night) on House of the Dead IV. Me and Pash got pretty far. Then went back to Thara's house and chilled for a second and then went back home.  Don't have any pictures while at the place because of the lazyness yet again. 

Saturday was a good day. Hung with my girl. Went to a warehouse sale. Didn't have any mediums. Guess I have to go to the next sale earlier. Coulda got some BBC tees for 49. That's a bargain right there. Beautiful day though. Saw some cool and weird signs. Had some Mcdonalds that didn't sit right on my stomach, but all in all good days all of em.
