Asher Roth Goes to College

This is pretty ironic, or is it coincidental(I need more learning I guess). Roth is one of the coolest most down to earth dudes out there right now, hopefully I get to meet him on the video shoot. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then let me inform you. Asher is having a video shoot for I Love College on the 5th and 6th in Atlanta somewhere. Still don't know exactly where, but you best believe MSFT will be there reppin heavy for GSU.

Gauges

I don't know why people keep picturing those huge holes when I say I want some gauges. The picture above is about how I want mine maybe even smaller. So stop bugging out people.

Love this Commercial

Also I've pretty much got insomnia again, so I'm gonna drown that in as much cereal as I can eat.

Radio and TV

There's gonna be a couple of things keeping me from the grasp of boredom on the road trip and at my Gramp's house in the dreaded O-hi-o. The first is Boundless/Stampede Radio. It's sometimes hit and miss, but always good for the small group of people(or so I believe/most likely more than I think). If you haven't checked any out just sign up for the podcasts and get all of em at one time, that'll be at least enough good music to hold out for the rest of the week.

If anyone has ever been a fan of Clerks and/or Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, then you too will be a fan of Clerks The Animated Series. It is a little bit more out there, think if Kevin Smith wrote Family Guy. Has all the same actors, especially Jason Mewes. Can be seen on Adult Swim on Fridays and on AdultSwim.com.

(and also on dvd apparently. Gotta get this for Christmas along with my bike and a job)

Now I will get to work with reading these articles for the art paper. Never got enough time these days.

Weird Couple of Days

Had a weird couple of days lately for my break. First I tried to get done with my math project which turned out was a bigger pain in the ass, than first thought it could be. The funny part was I was doing it right the first time, I just didn't know how to label the chart. Atleast I got to check out a little bit of the Twilight Zone marathon. Gotta watch more of it when I get down to New Orleans for Christmas.

Next day came around and I decided to get my art project, or at least most of the work done while I could, and I also underestimated the work load. Had to cut out way more pieces than I thought I had to, but as long as it gets me higher than a C I'm good.

I then decided to go through with my "master plan" to have a bowl of Lucky Charms consisting of mostly marshmellow. Turned out pretty good, but next time I have to slow down(don't eat a whole bag).

Got excited as hell to hang out with these crazy folks only to be cut short, by a road trip to Ohio, and Marks having to go to work. I swear I need to get my license, and learn how to drive a stick soon(hopefully around christmas). Anyway, something crazy always happens when I hang with these dudes here. This time I actually ended up getting to Thara's Cousin house before everyone else, and I mean everyone. Later on we all shared stories, and then Thara and Monai started a little fight.

P.S.
Sorry bout not staying around long enough. I promise I get at yall for winter break. You know what I mean right?

Photos

Been a while since I posted any photos on here, so I finally put about 3 weeks worth of pictures up.

Aderhold and the surrounding area was plagued two days out the week. Shooting in Woodruff one day, gas leak the next, and also a homeless camp got revealed on the corner of Auburn and Courtland. I knew I wasn't tripping when I passed that part and heard someone arguing.

Hung out with Brittany and Jessie one night, and got some of Brittany's good cooking. Best dinner I had while on campus, maybe even the only dinner I had on campus. Also experienced Tap Tap on the iPhone for the first time, almost wanna make me get one.

Went in the studio for the first and last time also. Even though I got some really good lyrics, but my nerves is too bad, and my voice is too muffled to record. Guess I can always ghostwrite for all the lame nigs huh.

Hung out with the big homie Thara on a Saturday one day. Really miss hanging with her. I swear we was just talking and playing in the mirror for 10 minutes.

Everyone was trying to get their papers reviewed at the last minute, me included, but Jeremy the TA said my thesis was the best out of everything he's seen, so I ain't sweating that.

Brit, Candace, and Liz came over one night and we all watched "Kids". I recommend everyone to see this movie atleast once. I do not recommend writing a college paper on it, and watching it about 5 times in one week, and caution anyone that wants to do this it will mess up your mind.

I'm getting some designs (slowly) done, but I will get it done soon. I do have a long ass drive to Ohio this week.
1st draft

2nd draft

Final Draft(not yet done though)

Liz and I decided to finally go see the Christmas lights at Woodruff one night. Really shouldn't have cause it was cold as shrunken balls.

Hung out with Candace and what I thought were her friends, only to find out they were her roommate's friends. They were cool for a second, but after that they got real lame ass. Candace was cool as ever though.

Went home and saw my loves(Kristina and Celly) and the family. Celly was mad at me for some reason. Maybe it was the glasses, but he calmed down after a while.
I swear I'm not sleeping in this picture

Eat You Alive- Lil Wayne

Yes Lil Wayne is coming with yet another mixtape to bring the world a whole new onslaught of music, and honestly ask yourself did you expect anything different. Mr. F Baby basically made his entire career out of the work formula of having long waits between albums with that time being spent making mixtape after mixtape after mixtape etc. Keep in mind that I am not talking about the slew of unofficial mixtapes released by DJs trying to get their name out by taking already released songs that have been featured on the actual official tapes. No I am talking mostly about the Dedication series and The Drought is Over series, and even though I never really listened to the later of the two series due to not knowing if it was official and exclusive tracks and basically already having the songs on my itunes, but knowing that there is a part six about to come out, and the majority of Wayne fans only know him from The Carter series, this is a feat in itself.

If you compared the work ethic of Wayne and that of other artists that started their career around the same time Mr. Carter first started, and also the work ethic of up and comers of today's time(ex. Curren$y's mixtape a month or XV's 80 tracks in 40 days), you can see where Wayne was ahead of the time and also quick to adapt to the availability and life expectancy of songs(not many tracks become classics now a days). And if you think Dedication was one of Wayne's first mixtapes, then you are highly mistaken, but I don't blame you.

Before the Carter series or even the dreads(yes back when the Cash Money artist still had braids), Wayne started pushing mixtapes with his young group,  Sqad Up(yeah it's spelled like that), and started driving the streets of New Orleans crazy with these hits. I was too young to really know when each of them dropped, but there was at least 6 of the local classic. I say local classic because wikipedia doesn't even have it on his discography.

Now after writing all of this and actually thinking about it, Lil Wayne may not be the best rapper alive, but you can't count Wayne out when someone has the work ethic to not only release this amount of material, but to record the multitude of material.

Ok. now for the new mixtape. I don't feel like posting the youtube, but I do have the link to the new song. Just click the picture.

All written from math class. Damn I love college.

After listening to the actual track, Eat You Alive, I realize I don't really enjoy it, but I'll leave it up for anybody who wants it.

But for anyone who wants to listen to a new song from Wayne that is reminiscent of a younger, more gangster Weezy. Check out Street Life.

Dedication 3

After being hyped up for a week or so, and being late by a day Dedication 3 dropped and didn't live up to the hype and missed it mark by a couple of songs. I know Wayne was trying to get more exposure for his crew, but he should have done it a different way. Fans want to hear more Weezy tracks and what you have here is basically a posse cut turned into a whole mixtape, and since it is so I might as well review it based on them fools too(no diss yet). Lets start with Wayne. He does what people now expect of him. Autotune here and there, but not as much as some people expected, but a lot more than I expected. What should be his second in command even if he isn't signed to Young Money, Drake should have been on more than one song because Drake is in some ways better than Wayne now a days. Gudda Gudda has his moments and I'm sure some people are gonna skip over his stuff because of his some what common New Orleans flow. LA the Darkman and Willie the Kid do their thing on the tracks they are on. Jae Millz is nice. Mack Maine is in the same category as Gudda(where's Nutt at). Tyga is a hate or love him type of dude(bias part- I don't feel Tyga like a ***** with no hands). Everyone else really doesn't make an impression except for Nicki Manaj. Ms. Manaj should really just be a video girl and spend some time on set learning from the people that is trying to fuck her. How does she get her own song Weezy wtf dude. Does Nivia know you fuckin her because I sure do. Ok Ima stop. Basically if you are a fan of Wayne and don't mind hearing the other artists on Young Money download it, if not save some space on your computer for something else.

New Year's Resolution

I know it ain't no where near new year's, but neither is christmas and you still see commercials on tv bout it so..... yeah. I've decided to start working 100% harder on all my endeavors since something that seemed impossible happened this week(I don't really have to say it do I). Anyway, I plan on getting a job in the very near future, and that would give me a great revenue of money mostly to save for my other goals in life. The main goal of course is getting this MSFT ASYLM brand out of my mind and on the run. I promise to all my readers you will be seeing some designs in the coming future. Another side hobby that I want to invest in also is DJ equipment just for fun and also maybe some side revenue. Last but not least of course is school work which I will be putting a lot more time into. Basically less party, more work, but a brighter future. If you can't keep up get some help kid because everything is possible just keep ya head up and eyes on the prize. See you in the sky.
