Goodbye Fall Hello Winter

As I sit here still in a calm daze continuously sighing for relief while I listen to my favorite Pandora radio station that consists of nothing more than the smoothest of jazz. I wonder what has caused my sudden feeling of ease similar to that of hours spent preparing for hurricanes? It could be only due to the fact that once again I have grasped HOPE by the necktie dragging it along on my crazy ride though the college education system. I may be a bit hasty in this assumption that this heavenly mood is solely correlated with the bright sunshine of free money for higher learning, since it is also that time of the year that a cold breeze swoops in carrying an insane amount of holiday spirit, but still this is not a sufficient enough reason for the great feeling I now carry in place of the anxious nervousness garnered from waiting for grades that very well could have been disasters in a financial sense

No that cannot be the sole reason alone due to the fact that the educational rat race has only been put on hiatus mercifully, but will soon began again bringing back the same tense feelings that ride along it’s coattails. No something else must be contributing to this unstoppable bliss I have seeminglessly obtained. Maybe it is the fact that with every passing minute time gets closer to the simultaneous end of a decade and beginning of a new one in it’s place, but what sets this coming decade apart from the past new years. It is the sole fact that with this year to come I will began pushing my goods hard on the streets, and I do mean both products and services. Trust that while you read this I am lazily laying in my bed banging out ideas like that of an automatic undestroyable tank set on the “win at all cost” setting on my newly acquired software from the Adobe offices .

To bring this article to an end, my calm joyous mood is attributed to the end of this hellish semester, acquiring HOPE once again, and the coming year that will be sure to be one of the craziest in my lifetime. I just wish I had a DeLorean to hop into and speed off into the future, but unlike that of Marty and the Doc I am only a prisoner of time.

I hope all the fellow college kids, hustlers, modern day hippies and fam have the same attitudes to life out there. When all looks down just Stay positive, Life Free, Spread Peace, and above all Seek the Higher Life & BECOME LEGENDARY.

WHO DAT?! Much Deeper Than A Game

While I sit waiting for the perfect time to sip hot chocolate and enjoy a healthy breakfast, few thoughts cross my mind other than the tests rushing towards me and the success that is slowly coming as well. I do not only mean in a scholastic notion when I speak about impeding glory, but more so a personal level that can be symbolized by that of my hometown team, The Saints. It is obvious to many that I am one of those many New Orleanians displaced by a certain disaster years ago, but this fact does not become apparent to some until I began to ramble on endlessly how this is the best year in the franchise's history. Before I continue, I must explain that this is in no way a post about football due to the fact that I am no way a sports fanatic in the least, but I am one of those that only watch football when one of the teams is rocking the colors of black and gold.

As I stated before, this is the Saints best year by far, and this much needed rise from the ashes can stand as a symbol for my journey through life. How so you ask? I've not lived a life deserving of any sort of documentation or a movie about a soul surpassing impossible obstacles, but any person who knows the different lifestyles led by New Orleans youth and how they clash each other would also know that any youth that can succeed in their young life in the crescent city can quite possibly succeed anywhere.

Why is this you ask again? Well, to keep it short and frank my inquisitive reader, New Orleans is a city that seems to be perpetually fucked, this is in the words of my father by the way. With failing school systems steadily producing illiterate elementary age students as well as schools fighting each other as if they were gangs,violent crime that could make any night on the town a life or death situation in a matter of seconds, and a city government more corrupt than a comic book villain explains this "fucked" status clearly. What makes this different from any other ghetto in America or the world for that matter? Probably nothing, but that's a completely different and bigger subject.

Now before I ramble on and on like I usually do, I'll get straight to the point. I can not speak on how the Saint's rise to prominence affects the city and the life there, due to not living in The N.O. since the hurricane and not being able to speak for the majority of the youth, but I know for certain that this undefeated status held by what was once the "worst fucking team in the league" again I quote my father on that is one of the most inspiring occurrences this entire year. What is this inspiring me to do you ask? Well you many question asking audience will have to wait till I am prepared to unveil my plan to the world.

A Little Inspiration and Motivation

Yesterday was a day that only comes once in a lifetime. The day when you realize what creates a feeling of true enthusiastic joy from something that can be considered work by some people’s standards. Thinking back it all started from a combination of inspiration and motivating words from a source that I barely ever read.

It just so happened for absolutely no particular reason other than curiosity I decided to check my horoscope. Now I’m not one to believe in horoscopes made to fit a type of person just because their born in a certain month, but despite that belief the words were seemed to be typed for just about any creative minded person who just so happens to be discouraged by the future ahead of them at the time which just so happens to also be the category I find myself in time and time again. I digress though, the basic motivational message through it all was not to work for anything more than sheer satisfaction. Create a labor of love in other words.

Legendary Characteristics

In my opinion, it is within human nature to find something that is loved, and become the best at it, but whether that loved activity is financially sufficient and career worthy are standards in most cultures today. While I could write a completely different essay on how this necessity for monetary stableness can make or break a person’s happiest goals in life, I am more concerned at the characteristics necessary to push a person towards not only choosing an alternative route different from a simple desk job, but also becoming so successful and talented that a human being can become legendary. Is it the talent alone, or is it more so the ability to affect a person’s emotions. Even more so, is it just a person’s work, or is it the personality and style of life that lends a hand towards representing, changing, or even creating a culture or subculture. The biggest question of all though, is that of a person’s will power. Does one have to knowingly make the decision to become legendary, or does such a high status just come as a side effect of a simpler want to just be truly happy. I’ll begin with the lighter questions since even I must think upon that of the last inquiry.

The easiest of these self posed questions is that of talent and emotional reactors. Yet it is not an easy question in it’s self, being that human emotions are similar to that of unstable atoms, reacting to everything around them in either positive or negative ways. Since this is a know fact among most human beings, it is not the initial reaction that is important that is important. Instead a measure of greatness is the piece of work’s ability to impact generations far behind the time of the initial creation. Similar to the initial reaction, the aspect of talent is not as important due to the factor of personal opinion. In comparison, cultural influence is much less subjective than that of an opinion claiming that person is good or not. For example, the works of Andy Warhol may be critiqued as uncreative and uninspired, yet he revolutionized the culture of life of an artist and the way it is viewed, by his own lifestyle and personality.

That leads me to the second point, the quality of works and a career in comparison to personality and lifestyle and which holds the more importance. This comparison is actually that which holds results finding that one factor contributes to the other in a large measure, yet without the second factor that of the first does not stand for much. Talent without that of personality has a tendency to be somewhat dry and unrelatable. This may be caused by the ever growing media technologies turning celebrity figures into a public characters. In some ways it is even impossible for a person in the public eye to not become a real life character for the masses to watch and follow on an hour by hour timeline. For the sake of specifics, it is not so much a person presenting their personality to the public and their fan base, but presenting a true, outgoing, and charismatic persona through the media. For example, Kanye West is no doubt one of the most widely known, creative, and influential person in the present day music world, but what truly sets him apart from many other talented souls is his asshole persona fashion forward senses, and being ahead of the curve by a mile. It his stepping out of the stereotypical role of a rapper/producer to take on many other lines of work that pushes his legacy forward.

The third and by far easiest of the questions once thoroughly thought out, happiness factor versus that of self confidence. Similar to that of personality/quality, confidence is one of the main affects when being personally happy with one’s creations, but happiness is not necessarily an affect of confidence. More so happiness is derived through a large amount of passion and hard-work, and ironically enough these are the same characteristics that separate a career from a simple job. I don’t believe I have to really explain the lack of satisfaction, depression, and questions of significance that can come from cubicle jobs and other forms of tedious work, and the complete opposite that can come from career paths now do I? Didn’t think so.

Please forgive me for my absence from the internet, but I forgot how necessary it is to have a digital presence in these twitter times. The days prior to this beautiful Sunday were nap filled due to growing and disappearing agonizing pains running throughout my mouth from a traumatizing wisdom teeth operation. Since I was steadily becoming bored with the GSU Common complex, I decided to force myself and the lovely Liz out into the world to walk one of the many Peachtree Streets in Atlanta. This was not too hard due to the fact that the Georgia flip flop weather was in full affect, while the day before was somewhat bleak and sunless, the following day before Monday was completely opposite.

Adding to the wonderful day, the Miss and I stumbled upon an amazingly comfortable vintage store located right next to my favorite health destroying restaurant, The Vortex for those that don't know, in Midtown Atlanta. Even though the sign read Runway, the owner stated that they were having the sign changed, since they were not officially opened yet, and the official name was My! My! My!. While I don't want to jump the gun that this will become Liz's favorite store, it is very well possible since it is much more relaxed in mood but eccentric in wears and accessories fitting her style personally. Expect more from there earlier since we were invited to a grand opening party.

Sorry for the lovey dovey stuff, but I love this picture since I took it so awesomely in a foot mirror.

The bracelet Liz bought, this was one of the first times I've actually seen her just randomly buy something other than food. I guess I'm rubbing off on her. That's all for today, peace brethren.

If anybody checked out the Mos Def show on Current, and didn't happen to remember that awesome clothing brand Mos was checking out in the episode, these are the same people. I can't quite put my finger on the exact reason why I think these are dope. Ghostbuster The Video Game

If it was not for the allure of video games who knows what my shy younger self would have been doing back in the day, so I've decided to do a segment everytime I get the chance to rent or buy a game I've been dying to play. I have no wish to review everything out there, but only the select few that catch my eye, and transport me back to the times when all I needed was a big screen, some snacks, and a lazy summer day.

I finally had the enjoyment of experiencing The Ghostbuster video game. Didn't this come out this summer you ask? Yes, but since I can't yet take the 360 my brother and I share yet, it would be extremely wasteful of sixty dollars to buy a video game. I also can't afford the side effect of mass procrastination. I digress though, Terminal Reality hits almost every point on the head with this Ghostbusters video game adaptation.

From the first time you start to move around during the tutorial and fire off your proton ray, a smile is to be had by any person who is a fan of the movie. Things begin to really pick up speed right after the tutorial is done with the introduction of ghosts, ghouls, and monsters in large numbers, or just large. Everyone knows Stay Pufts comes up in the game, so I'm not gonna spoil the fun of how soon the big loveable destroyer comes on screen. Not only does the quantity of adversaries present entertaining fights, but the inclusion of backstories, and also cursed artifacts in each level create for great adventure game as well as a shooter that makes for a good less serious shooter.

Main gameplay wise, Ghostbusters plays similar to that of Gears of War, but with a laser cannon instead of a chainsaw equipped gun. Many would expect that the proton pack would play a large role, and those individuals would expect right. A player does not have to count on just the proton laser as times begin to get a little rougher down the road, but have three other settings than the regular one everyone knows and loves. I'm not gonna get into all that, just know that it is worth it for how short the game is. I almost had it done within 4 days if not for having to leave the blessed 360. All in all though the worst thing is not the shortness of the game, being that gameplay begins to get a bit tedious by the last level, but your partner's AI is severely lacking the I part. Players will find themselves having to revive them more times that one would expect too.

Hitting shelves later this month on halloween, probably for prices I can't afford, RANSOM does a good job of presenting the lifestyle behind each of their models. My favorite thing about this commercial is the total lack of pristine presentation. There is no attempt at making the shoes look too good to be walked around in, tree and mountain climb, even washing with water from a stream. I know people will most likely take that route, but what can you do ya know?

It is not a coincidence that I am a great fan of Mos Def, and his music. I absolutely love artists that can express their personalities 100% whether it is Curren$y's pot head easy moods or Gucci's guddaness. Mos brings something to the table that is truly good. Anyone with working eyes and/or ears can tell that the man that is Mos Def is not some jaded rapper, cocky with his money, or looming over his fans like some type of god. Instead, fans can somewhat feel like peers on a human level due to the Brooklyn repper's wide eyed wonderment of Tokyo and Osaka. He doesn't attempt to seem as if, "Oh, I do this on the daily. Traveling ain't nothing to me. Another place another dollar." He has the same reactions to places, people, fashion, and technology as most similar thinkers would, and that is what makes this video such a inspiration to me. Shows me that one should never get to a point where they become resistant to amazements. I'm gonna get back to watching this and gathering quotes to twit about. Peace and Love ya'll.

Not factoring in the Recession, spending paper is pretty short for a college student, especially those with an acquired taste for the best. There is books to buy, tuition to be paid, food ain't cheap, if you are an art student, materials are far from painful to the pocket, and most of the entertaining events are far from free with even movies costing double digits. What is one to do when there is a surplus of goods that catch the eye and scream, "BUY ME. YOU KNOW I'M FRESH AND NEEDED IN YOUR CLOSET," at least that's what they say to me. The best rule of thumb I've come up with though when it comes to spending that job checks(in my case birthday money) is to buy what you don't already have a lot of, which means they are the closest thing to necessities in comparison to pleasurable buys.

With winter getting ever closer, I'm tempted to plan to spend some bills on some new jackets, but the problem is I already have a more than satisfactory M65 and while it is a wee bit big on my skinny frame, it protects me from the wind like a tweed shield. Therefore, my buying of a new jacket would be a waste of paper. This is an example of something unnecessary.

Yes I really want this backpack. Can you read this Mom & Dad? I know you gotta squint real hard.

The product I do need the most though is something that I have overlooked for an amount of time, a nice backpack. For the entirety of anyone's school career, a bag has been present carrying a ton of books, but most of the time no one ever thinks about a book bag for anything more than color. While I do have a carrying tool that does a good job of protecting my laptop while also toting some other goods, it is becoming more and more of a burden with the amount of pencils, markers, books, sketchbooks, ruler, exacto knife, etc etc that I have to carry on a day to day basis. I personally need something that can be comfortably carried while riding a bike, and something that can carry a multitude of objects all while no crushing or breaking any of those materials. This is an example of a pleasurable necessity being that it isn't really needed in the sense that it costs 3 digits, but in my experience those walmart bags have a life span of a year, so you either pay a bundle of money on something good, or you pay a little bit of money each passing year. I'm getting off point a little bit though, I'll get back to worthy expensive goods vs unworthy expensive goods vs cheap goods at another time.

The best thing one could ever buy is something that goes past a material pleasure, and leads to a psychological goal oriented pleasure that will last an eternity. Any amount of money spent on providing a future for one's self is never wasted. In my case, I have to buy trademarks licenses or whatever the correct term is, server connections, web-space, stickers, and a web designer, but while this is more expensive and more time consuming compared to that of going to a store and walking out with a new piece to one's closet, the enjoyment from these are far better. Nothing can beat the feeling that you have done something that not only you can enjoy, but others can enjoy, and are fulfilling your own dreams.

In short, if you have a lot of sneakers and don't have cash to burn, don't buy sneakers; if you need something that will make living each day to day easier and won't leave you starving, by all means buy it, and if you have the chance to spend money on something that will make you truly happy and build a future for yourself....do I really have to say do it? Naw I didn't think so.

Today I had the opportunity to witness the lazier population of the Georgia State student body. Maybe I am among the nerdy category of Hollywood stereotypes, but I do know I have a natural enjoyment from gaining any type of knowledge possible. Even though this is true, I’ve never given enough time to any type of study behavior. I would return home, spend the minimum amount of time on homework, then quickly approach the game system of the time, and continue to take massive amounts of time in the virtual world, but who didn’t do that grade school through high school?

I’ve quickly learned from this year solely that this approach is not possible in school due to the simple fact of not truly being able to pick it up first go around without much outside work. On the one of the numerous other sides of the learning spectrum where a student does all the work possible while not truly learning anything, and never being able to apply their-selves outside of the classroom. This category of students is what I call the perfect failure. Even though they are able to get the highest grades in school, they never do anything associated with classes that isn’t going to be tested upon. This behavior leads to the same exact outcome as the habits that I exhibit.

To make the best out of the academic aspect of college, it is necessary to never fall short of the expectation of professors. In the words of my father, “Don’t half ass it son.” If a teacher expect you to read a chapter, read one at least and more if possible. If not don’t expect to study the things guaranteed to be on the tests. Six chapters cannot be covered within thirty questions in the least, but the best possible strategy to combat such things is to pick up the key aspects. You can never fail with that. At least I hope because that is what I plan to do for now on. Wish me luck.

Rocking at the Apache

If you were to ask me week after week what I'm most likely to do on a Tuesday night, nine out of ten times I'm going to Apache Cafe to enjoy myself in one of the best places in Atlanta. Why is it the place to be you ask. On first impression it is a much better, in my opinion, crowd and atmosphere than all of the eighteen and up clubs I've been to. Modest, humble, real, unbelievably comfy, and if you've ever been to any club in Atlanta that allows males under the legal age of drinking you too would know that this is not usually said about a club. Then again Apache Cafe is more of a lounge than a place to get down on the dance floor. Have a drink if you can, enjoy some music, the type all depending on the night you go. Hip hop on Tuesday's, which includes ciphers and battles, Soul on Wednesdays and an open mic, and all types of other stuff. Now enough talk, here are some pictures that didn't turn out blurry.

College Madness Pt 1

I recently had the privilege of having a discussion with my friend, who's "just doing it for the refund check," and the following feeling of disapproval and slight disgust pushed me to write this. Being that one of my favorite writers were able to beat my lazy butt in delivery of an essay on the same subject, I've still decided to put my big two cents into the college discussion.

In my most recent post, I spoke of being rewarded with the presence of much desired birthday presents, but this is not a given by far. If it wasn't for my good grades, great work habit, and ability to just enough my way through school all the while gaining the coveted Hope Scholarship, and being able to do this same thing in college and hold on to Hope like Obama's speech writer, I would not be the spoiled(not a brat, I just gets a lot of things) child that I am today. While I don't take these for granted I feel as if many of my peers take their opportunities for granted.

I know I just jumped from bday presents, to college, but my views on higher education is that it is a privilege that is more so viewed as a obligation these days. Most students make the mistake of not getting out of a lower mode of education, not realizing that the teenage wasteland known as high school is built for accomplishment, and that the college experience is much more of a contest between peer groups. Meaning that with each passing school year, more and more people are dismissed from their learning experience due to lower than average scores.

I for one love this feature because my biggest peeve of college level slackers are the ones that complain about school yet won't take the time and effort to quit and enter the real real world. I hate when I see someone who has a scholarship piss that money all away while partying, missing class, and not even taking the time to fail a test by just missing it all together. Maybe they aren't interested in what they are learning in school even in the least of trivial bit, or they just don't give two feces about the knowledge they could be taking in, I don't know because I'm not one of those. I see what I can get out of each and every class even if they have nothing to do with my art major, but more so I see that I have a free ride for the time being in the best time of my life. The other, or as Phil says, the 85% that may have a scholarship just take it for granted. Wait till your parents, or you yourself have to pay for it. Bet it won't be that hard to waste your time and money then.

This is one thing that is something that just says, "I need that", and luckily my birthday is coming up, and if it is one thing that it is when you are doing good with life and your job, and you are a good kid, you get rewarded every year of your life atleast one good time. The Buy List: The Bourne Trilogy

After watching a couple of minutes of the Bourne Identity recently, and watching Supremacy and Ultimatum numerous times, I've finally decided that the Bourne movies are the Bond of our time. I will even go as far as saying that these inspired the more gritty Bond movies as of late. Who wouldn't want a movie where at one point an assassin throws himself out of a window because he was caught by the protagonist of the film. The level of action is equal to that of the weirdest of being a super spy and not knowing it as in the film Identity, and from my knowledge of the last two the action is downright jaw dropping thereby leaving me to say that every man needs this in his collection of dvds.

Being that I am gonna start my book library up by buying books on the fact that they inspired people to create movies about them, I'm gonna include the book version of The Bourne Trilogy as well. Now let me figure out how I'm gonna get movie for this and I'll have it by then.

One of the best things about the city is the parks that are dead center, and serve as a good opposite from the concrete and steel of the surrounding structures. It's also a great place to have a festival outdoors without the worry of having to close down streets, and possibly slow down traffic more than it already is. This particular visit to Piedmont was suppose to consist of a walking around a small arts festival, but before I could even arrive I was informed by Jessie that the neo Nazis in charge didn't allow people to walk around with skateboards. Being that we couldn't ditch Frank, we decided to skip over that.

A couple of Burritos and a good walk later, we made it to the best part of the park. Sitting in the grass taking in the scenes, enjoying the weather, and having great discussions about things that slip my mind right now. All in all if you ever find yourself bored and restless, and with have one+ friends with you, get your lazy butt to the park and relax. If that doesn't equal up to some type of fun because it isn't doing enough you can stop reading my blog. Hit up a club or something you thirsty ones.

Being that Scott Mescudi's debut album is one of the most anticipated albums this past year, I wasn't able to overlook the opportunity to hear weeks in advance what could be a modern classic. Personally I do not expect Cudi to disappoint any of his fans, luckily his twitter base is large enough to get a trend going. The one problem is that the broader community that have only heard Day and Night may be up to a big surprise. Think the end of D&N, but hitting all kind of different emotions and levels.

When one thinks a rapper the image of a confident, wealthy, thug, drug dealer type of sort when put upon radio standards, but the last time you think of an awkward shy guy rapper that could have possibly fit the role of geek in high school was most likely Lupe or Kanye, if you're thinking further back, De La Soul. Almost every emcee with a cult following has either been incredibly skilled, somewhat commercially awkward by the music biz standards of their time, or both. The kid from Cleveland fits perfectly in a both position.

There is a very strange quality about the Cudi's music when heard on a first listen. The skill of lyricism is not anything truly drop dead, rewind, and listen again quality, but the songs are more about the entire song. Straight forward lyrics with addicting production, and very unusual featuring guests such as MGMT and Ratatat. All in all there are only three actual rapping stars which is lovely for a debut album.

All in all Man on the Moon:The End of Day is a must listen whether you buy it, download it, burn it from a friend's computer, because lets face it as much as people want to support great artists, money is tighter than Cudi's pants at the Jay-Z concert.

Gourmets:Review of Due

My love for Gourmets are far from a secret, but I believe that it has expanded to an unforeseen level in the past two days. From arriving at my house, seeing an exceptionally large box filled with brown paper, and a smaller box, to opening that smaller box to see what I believe has to be the sexiest addition to my sneaker collection yet.

Black on black sexiness then graced my feet the next day(today) for class, the high school level "OOOOHHHSSS " and "AWWWWWWSSSS" are replaced with self assurance that I have the sexiest pair of sneakers on my feet in the entire campus, and this self knowledge of my own personal style is much more appreciated than the attention one gets from new shoes in a high school building, but enough on my feelings about dressing for one's self instead of the audience around you, and onto the beautiful Gourmet Dues.

Nothing could be more embracing than the feel of Louis Vuitton level leather, but even at half price I could not afford those editions. While the higher editions would have been a great edition to my closet, and a delight to have, I could not pass on just owning a pair of Gourmets post Nike law suit. Enough blabber though. Instead just go buy a pair of the best shoes in the world while I rub and pet mine like a dog........I'm not being serious here. I'm not a hypebeast, people.

Labor Day Weekend Pt 2&3

To say this is just a regular weekend in downtown Atlanta, would not be truly wrong, but to not say shit is extremely much weirder would be a true lie. Bums are still talking to themselves, but now wear sparkly hats amongst their head while uttering, "We need a total of 26 fuck ups."

Another great occurrence was the transition to "college kid wealth" for my best friend. What was recently stress from a multitude of theories of bad expectations concerning her now obtained refund check. Which is like we both got rich, because if anyone has my light bright back it is Elizabeth aka Liz aka Dixie. It is personally great to see her not worried by such matters anymore; now she can move onto worries towards school. That is the real stress. Side note: eating out for college kids hits like a brick when the check is received. Side note 2: The entire time I'm writing this, the short one herself is sitting next to me doing what she does best, annoy the bejeezus out of me. Still love her though.

The next great occurrence could not have occurred without a couple of death threats if certain pictures are to be seen on this website, unfortunately for ya'll I wholeheartedly believe the one making the threats would honestly hurt me if she was to stumble upon some unwanted photos, so yeah. One of Liz's and I's best friends, and one of the only people tinier than her turned the big two O on saturday. Instead of heading straight to the club, which was delayed till Sunday night, the tiny terror decided to roll to a skating rink. Another unfortunate occurrence, the security of the kiddie club wouldn't let me carry the G9 into it's area so no photos there. Wouldn't of had any photos of me falling anyway. Sidenote: if you haven't been to a skate rink in a while, I recommend a trip with your best friends is in order. If not for the immense fun had on the death trap that are roller skates, but also to see the disgusting behavior of the younger generation. Can't hate though, when I start to remember about my young experience at the skate rink of New Orleans, I distinctly remember a circle of people watching a young girl get naked. Yeah shit gets crazy sometimes. Oh and it was a school sponsored night as well. Bless my childhood.

PT 3

After spending an over abundance of wasting time, me and the other half hit the town first stopping at the hippiest spot I know of in all of the south, Obie's. No this isn't a restaurant or a club, just a house with a dude, and a cat, and a dog with 6 toes on each hind leg. Yes 6 toes. Have you ever seen that one movie "Kids"? If so this apartment resembles closely to the spot where Telly and Casper stop over to enjoy some drugs, just without the balloons or nitrous. Just high grade grass, and random assortments of characters stopping by.

This crazy chick just happened to be walking down the street as we rolled up to the house. She was coming from Dragoncon(think Comiccon south), and just wanted to stop by and show some love to everyone's favorite music maker. And then randomly a person that use to be my exact twin back when we both had dreads stopped by. Stories of naked white girls scissoring during a house party in the same spot I sat, and which Yelawolf collection of work is the best. If you know where I'm talking about, and you know who I'm talking about then next time there's a party, hit me up. I'd be happy to join in the fun of watching some nasty ass chicks while I'm saying, "Damn dude, who let these girls in."

Fast forward past basketball, good dinner, and GTA LAD sessions, and you will be at the point where club outings are in the works. I'm not gonna go into detail of the club scene because one 18+ club is just like every other club, incredibly hot, incredibly boring and old music, thirsty broads, lame niggas, and young people expressing "this is the best night ever omg!". Give me Apache Cafe any night over this shit. Me and Dixie have decided that we will be club hopping soon looking for the best club of Atlanta that delivers more than just the same old crunk, swag, and e popping places. A wide arrange of music from slow jams, hip hop classics, and jamaican dance is in order. Liz tells that techno with all this in the mix is good as well, but I've yet to experience that so we'll see.

In the meantime I'm gonna get to some drawings that are necessary for both grade and pay are in order while listening to Kid Cudi, and highly anticipating some bar-b-q that should hit the spot in my stomach that most time can only be reached by gumbo and beignets.

While my drawer is stocked full of tee shirts from my favorite brands, the closet area is comparably bare. Due to the fact that I have never once held a job, and more so hustle(not talking drugs here people) for the things I buy on my own, I haven't been able to buy more layering able articles. Two flannels here and there, a cardigan, a couple of hoodies, a nice rain jacket from Public School, and a a bit too big M-65 from Mishka, and you have the just of my coat collection. There's a point to every young man's life where he wants to wear more than just tee shirts, nice jeans, and fly sneakers. While I still love my tee collection, the obsession with the basic of all boutique items must come to a screeching stop. I have decided that if I'm ever to buy anything related to clothing, it must be worth the money I am putting in, something that I can't produce for my own clothing line, and it must go big! Big in the sense of high level Ralph Lauren, or anything that would have me feeling like I can walk into a building and make million dollar deals. I'll post more style photos on here as well. Something like a Satorialist or Street Etiquette(yes those guys are highly inspiring). Oh let me explain the photos I'm using. The one above is the most basic of attire for the morning, classes, gym, and chilling occasions. I call it the get-up-and-go. The one below while being for going out on the town is still basic shirt and jeans based. Wait till some money starts coming in. Till later peoples.

Everyone knows that when Labor Day rolls around, it isn't too far till the leaves begin to fall as well. It isn't with disdain that I look at the seasons changing, and time moving on, but more so with great expectation and patience. Everyday is closer to when things really start to pick up, and 24 hours are felt upon my mental clock as mere minutes. Hopefully the acclimation to college live is enough for me to be able to handle all of the new workloads I am beginning to put on my ever growing back. How to spend a weekly three day weekend? I'm pretty sure it is common amongst most college students that have good sense enough to schedule all your classes on the days between Sunday and Friday. In respects to my friend Jordan(now to be known as AIR), freshman don't know these rules as of yet. Luckily, or unluckily depending on reader, traffic prevented AIR from arriving at his class on time by a good percentage of the class period.

Being that we had an entire Friday to get into some mischief, the three of us(counting Liz as well) decided to take a quick ride out to the Southern, capitalist, version of San Francisco. Soon enough, the musketeers completed the task of trying to play a broke game of guitar hero in best buy, stopping at a corner store looking for Wynette with no avail, stopping in the modern day comic book mecca of Atlanta, Criminal Records, the site of AIR's misfortune of spending blindly on "7's". We quickly found ourselves at a playground similar to that of something one would imagine Lost Boys training on.

With towering contraptions built to hold even the heaviest of young tikes, and some sides designed to trap smaller more nimble kids up in high dead ends allowing the big bully to beat up. The craziest of all childhood self propelled rides had to be the design of the spinning pole of dome. It creates a feeling of flying speeds, even though truthfully it is much more decreased. I don't know if that is a word now that I think about it, but I do believe that more of these Fridays must be spend on the town with good friends.

Putting the Pieces Together

Some people would believe that running a company should be done solely by a single person to save the need to split up revenue, but in my personal opinion when a group of like minded, talented, and vision-filled people come together to build up a structure, that structure becomes something grand similar to that of a tower or castle. One of the first things needed for the construction of a towering behemoth is a designer, and while I thought I could handle this role successfully, it has been proven that a more steady hand is needed to carry the pen and pencils gracefully over the paper. That hand comes in the form of Frank Dunson, a North Carolina raised Atlanta native that lives for drawing. When I say he doubled my output of designs faster than I could say go, it is not a over statement. Can't wait to get some more designs from him on the computer.

Any streetwear soldier stationed in Atlanta, knows Standard to be the main destination for all things cool, but the good people over there are beginning to up the ante with offerings from higher end brands. Such are these pieces from Hiroshi Awai's line for Creep. I've never heard of this line or this designer before, but much information will be googled by tonight. Really classic American apparel infused with an Asian influence is the definition for something that can't go wrong. Too bad I'm broke as a joke with no punchline(not really a funny thing at all)

The first Friday of the school year could very well be a sign of the things to come. It could go very wrong due to wrong, unthought out decisions such as not opening the door for an RA and then having the cops called on your party in the Commons(yes this really did happen) On the other hand all of the right decisions could be made thereby producing a highly enjoyable experience throughout college.

Any returning upperclassmen know that when a panther prowl is announced, not that high of expectations come along, but the first one of the year a very big different was presented to the student body of Georgia State University. Happily the Spotlight Program truly stepped up their game with the inclusion of the ever rolling, best thang smoking Young Dro. Yes, I do mean the Grand Hustle signed, White Boy Black Boy swag inventor Young Dro.

If there is one thing GSU students, and Atlanta college students as a whole know how to do well is party in large numbers and get the word out quicker than the trains run through MARTA. Counting that we heard from well informed "bird" that there was only a limited amount of wristbands available to see the free Dro Show, my friends and I decided to arrive a bit earlier than the seven o'clock door opening time. Unfortunately we weren't the only ones who got that information.

After a hardy night of the usual free hamburgers and drinks, karaoke, extreme pixie sticks, Fight Night Round IV, Grand Theft Auto IV, long lines, and lots of anxious young black teens. Dro hit the stage in the ballroom of the student center and officially tour it up. I gotta give props to him for giving a private show to one of the fastest growing colleges out. By the end of the very long night I was worn out somewhat annoyed by aggravating underclassmen, but was able to fall asleep next to my beautiful woman, and wake up the next morning. I know for sure now that the year will be a great one.

It's wonderful to witness the evolution of the brands you love to wear, and even marvelous to witness this change from season to season while also carrying on their themes and aesthetics. Mishka is one of my favorite brands which is obvious when counting how many of their gnarly tee shirts in my wardrobe, and it is particularly awesome to see the New York reppers ever broadening their selection of items coming for their Fall Collection. Everything from denim to flannel shirt and scarves, and even a leather jacket that I feel I must have. Whatever though, enough talk and more pictures.

There's an undeniable presence of high production and attention to detail present in these photographs. As a aspiring fashion designer it's hard not to love the use of fur within the collection. Gives it a royal look, while still having a radical emotion radiating from the articles of clothing.
