Wiz Khalifa Name on a Cloud/Wassup

Jay Z D.O.A.

The video goes just as hard as the song does.

Audio Euphoria:

We all have those songs that provide energy to your day, but once in a while an album comes around that
becomes a soundtrack to life. The difference between an energy source and a soundtrack is the life span, because
most songs has the chance to live for a couple of months at most before it falls into that category of "whatever happened to that"
The latter of the two receives a much more coveted treatment, which entails a listener never being able to remove
said album from ipod without some sort of guilt.

It would be a lie to say that I have unchecked any of the songs on Curren$y's "This Ain't No Mixtape" since I purchased
on 4/21. This is not because I have a male crush on Curren$y and believe he's the best thing to happen to hip hop
in a long time, but also because his music has such a distinct emotion pouring from the speakers when played.
While Young Jeezy inspires people to hustle, Curren$y inspires people to simply succeed. While his subject matter
is not that much different from other rappers, he shines through similar to the Clipse with a rawness and reality, and his own personal
attitude of humbleness creating an addictive sound to all of the music he touches.

What makes this venture through the world of The Jets so much different from the previous journeys is the phenomenally impressive
production provided by Monster Beats. Any Curren$y fan knows that Spitta can destroy any beat given to him, but the beats handed to him from the
New Orleans Duo shows a potential of defining the Crescent City once again similar to that of Manny Fresh and the Hot Boys.

Go to Curren$y's website to find out how to purchase this awesome album, and support that Real Nigga Shit.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson

While I have felt sort of displaced by the level of celebrity worship that is engulfing Michael Jackson's far to soon death, it is never going to be possible to say that Michael Jackson was not a living legend even as a young adult. The king had reached the Mount Olympus status around the time of Billy Jean, and is to this day one of the biggest cultural icons(period)   Live on Mike, I know you will.

p.s.
I truly hate all the news about Michael Jackson's death on the news. I know they say rest in peace, but they really won't let it rest.

p.s.s.
I am loving MTV Jams right now though. Live shows is the shit.

B.o.B. vs Bobby Ray!!!!!

B.o.B. and Bobby Ray come through pretty good together, and one would think so since the talented emcee and musician are one in the same. I also had to include both versions because while the music is good enough to be an album, I still love the street vibe of DJ drops. I may be by myself on that one, but it's all good. No DJ mix below.

Thursday Night, Friday Morning

Dark by you.
Have you ever listened to The Specials? You most likely have if you are a fan of Snatch, and enjoy watching credits to catch the music at the end. No matter if you have or not everyone has experienced a night that goes over two days, at least I hope so. While there are different degrees of crazy that can occur on such occasions, but each night shares a common factor of unexpectedness.

Steps by you.
What started out as a quick adventure to Screen on the Green, which I recommend to anybody in the Atlanta area, turned into a journey similar to that of The Warriors with no violence. Can't say that a little bit of primal activity wasn't witnessed though. You never know how fast you will see somebody run unless they have 20 to 30 blood thirsty teenagers behind them. This wasn't our group btw.
Just a hood by you.
I really feel that the best way to explain last night is to let ya'll listen to The Specials. Friday Night, Saturday morning should be the anthem for summers(period)

The Hangover

Anybody who's had a little bit too fun of a night knows what a hangover feels like, but there's a difference between just waking up with a massive headache and some vomiting compared to waking up and missing memories from the night before. Furthermore, there is a difference between anything I've ever witnessed and the events that occurred in "The Hangover" both in terms of films and real life experience.

Rarely does a movie succeed in making an over the top movie, while still containing a level of believability. The only event that is a little bit too over the top is the appearance of Mike Tyson and his tiger. This is also a missed opportunity in terms of "holy shit" moments. If Mike Tyson was kept out of the commercials similar to that of Tom Cruise in Tropical Thunder, audiences would have died laughing.

Another component that works well in the movie is the casting for each character. The trio of characters fills out the common comedy stereotypes such as, the funny fat guy spewing randomness all over, the geeky guy that seems to have to worst luck out of everybody, and the normal guy holding everything together. The winner for best performance comes from Zach Galifianakis who has made his way into the category of favorite comedian with his highly offbeat delivery of lines creating such quote as, "Card counting isn't illegal. It's just frowned upon, like masturbating on the plane." As a runner up, Ken Jeong delivers exceptionally well in a small roll as a eccentric gangster.

This will certainly go down as a classic as time goes on, and is a must see in theaters because nothing will compare to the opportunity to hear some hilarious laughing with fellow audience members. Can't wait till this comes on dvd though.

We Have Band - You Came Out

What can already be seen as a really amazing video just off of face value, We Have Band's "You Came Out" was made by taking 4816 photos where after each shot was taken the face paint was wiped away and re applied in a slightly different way. Unlike most music videos receiving a behind the scene treatment, this one actually deserves it. Therefore have included it in the post.

Where Is My Mind?

This has to be my all time favorite song period. If I could finish my two album reviews, everybody would know how much I love music that captures the emotion of all crazed youths. You know the ones with something a little bit wrong with them in the eyes of mainstream America. The Pixies have done that seamlessly  for generations. An all time classic if you would. The coolest thing though, I really didn't expect this artwork. I gotta research this a little more, but whoever made this needs props to the deepest.
